Here you'll find a list of the parkruns I've visited so far along with a brief description and some useful links.

The table below lists the parkruns I’ve visited so far. I’ve tried to add a few useful details and where relevant I’ve linked to the corresponding blog post or cycle route description. Please just drop me a message if you have any questions and I’ll do my best to help.

I’m not a very regular parkrun cafe user so I’m afraid there’s not much information on that score.

This table was last updated on 21/09/2023 when I’d run 146 times at 49 locations.

I’ve volunteered six times now too, at Beeston and Shipley Country parkruns.

Beeston19 March 201672In Nottingham. Flat one-lap course with an out-and-back at the end. Next to the Nottingham & Beeston Canal and River Trent. My home run - a five minute walk from my house. Any questions, hit me up!

Cycle routes from Nottingham

I stayed in an AirBnB about two miles from Belton House for £35. This was a room in someone's house. They were very friendly, letting me keep my bike in the hallway and return after the parkrun to get changed and pick up my luggage.
Belvoir Castle23 October 20221In the Vale of Belvoir (Nottinghamshire/Lincolnshire border area). They have a summer and a winter course, and I'd been waiting for the switch to the winter before visiting. The winter course is inside the Castle grounds with exclusive access before it opens to the public at 11am. A really stunning course, but fairly brutal in terms of hills - I measured almost 100m of elevation. All on tarmac. Free parking as long as you leave by 10am.

Bushy12 November 20161In Surrey. Site of the first ever parkrun in 2004. They regularly have more than 1,000 runners, although there were only(!) 690 when me and my husband were there. Maybe because it was raining? Still the largest parkrun I've ever attended. Flat, one-lap course.
Clifton25 May 20191In Nottingham. Flat, two-lap course on grass. Quite a small parkrun. When I did it there were 53 participants so I got my highest ever gender position (2nd female!).
Clumber Park30 April 20164In North Nottinghamshire. Two-lap course through pretty woodland. Mostly flat.
Colwick29 October 20166In Nottingham. Flat, one lap course (with small repeated loop). Around a nice country park with lakes.

Cycle routes from Nottingham
Conwy27 July 20191My first Welsh parkrun (and only one so far). Flat out-and-back course with nice view of Conwy Castle.
Dishley, Loughborough24 July 20211The first parkrun I did after lockdown lifted. Flat course starting on rugby club playing fields but also including a pretty riverside section.
Doddington Hall1 July 20231In Lincolnshire. A flat out-and-back course on smooth tarmac.
East Park25 January 20201In Wolverhampton. Flat, three-lap course.
Forest Rec27 October 20181In Nottingham. Multi-lap/out-and-back course with a hill.
Fountains Abbey11 February 20231Blog post
Gedling2 February 20191In Nottingham. Hilliest course in Nottingham (if you count Bestwood Village as too far out of the city!).
Hillsborough18 May 20191In Sheffield. Three-lap course with a hill you have to go up three times!
Isabel Trail11 September 20211In Staffordshire. Out-and-back course on a tarmac cycle path (small but hardly noticable gradient). Good facilities at the rugby club.
Jersey Farm13 November 20211Near St Albans. I did the winter course variation which is two laps of the outer bridleway. There is a summer course which does one inner and one outer lap. Both versions are hilly!
King's Lynn20 April 20191This parkrun is at one end of the Norfolk Coast Cycleway. I did it before setting off to cycle to Great Yarmouth over five days with my husband and 11-year old stepdaughter (three years before I started my blog!)
Long Eaton22 December 20185Blog post
Mansfield29 October 20221In Nottinghamshire. Three lap course in a flat park. It was raining when I ran here and the volunteers were lovely!
Markeaton9 July 20161Near Derby. Two-lap course in the park and woodland. It was raining heavily when I did it and there were some massive puddles!
Marlborough Common15 October 20221In Wiltshire. The week I ran there the course was changed, due to the Mop Fair occupying part of the site, so there were three laps instead of the usual two. This meant three times up the hill! It's a gentle drag rather than anything steep, but it feels like it goes on for a while! It's all on grass. A fairly small one - 91 runners when I was there.
Melton Mowbray12 August 20231In Leicestershire. A very pleasant two-lap course in a country park.
Newark16 February 20191In Nottinghamshire. Three-lap course in Sconce and Devon Park.
Oakwell Hall2 November 20191Near Leeds. I loved this course! Two laps on some challenging terrain - definitely feels like a trail run.
Poolsbrook25 December 20182Near Chesterfield. I've run this twice - both on Christmas Day because it's conveniently located halfway to my parents' house. Three-lap course around two lakes. Be careful to pick your feet up - I fell over quite spectacularly the second time I did it and lost a lot of skin!
Queen Elizabeth12 February 20221Near Portsmouth. Fantastic but incredibly tough/hilly course. One small lap, followed by one big lap. Loads of tourists there when I did it with my Dad.
Rother Valley25 February 20172Near Sheffield. One flat lap around the country park's lakes.
Rushcliffe16 July 20164In Nottingham. Two-lap course with some undulations but nothing you'd call a hill. The second time I ran here was in a heatwave and thankfully there was an ice cream van close to the finish!
Sandall Park9 March 20191In Doncaster. I did this parkrun for my D when it was still called Doncaster but it changed its name soon after. Two-lap course. There is a grassy section which was incredibly muddy/boggy when I was there after a rainy spell.
Sandringham2 September 20231In Norfolk. A pretty two-lap course in the grounds of Sandringham. Mainly woodland trails.
Sewerby7 July 20181Near Bridlington. Lovely cliff-top parkrun with nice views of the seaside resort. One-lap course. Free parking at the National Trust property for parkrunners.
Sheringham16 September 20231In Norfolk, A fairly brutal out and back course with a lollipop. All downhill to start with and all uphill to finish.
Sherwood Pines30 July 20221Blog post coming soon
Shipley Country28 May 20221Blog post
Skipton20 May 20231In North Yorkshire. A four lap course with a hill and an out-and-back section.
Temple Newsam8 January 20221Near Leeds. Two-lap course with a slight variation on the second lap. It was cold and wet when I was there and the second time up the big hill nearly finished me off! It was also very muddy in places so trail shoes advised for winter!

Valentines7 March 20201In Ilford. Two-lap, flat course. Very friendly and when I was there, there was a group cool-down session afterwards which was fun.
Whinlatter Forest13 August 20221In the Lake District. The most beautiful but toughest parkrun I've done so far. The finish line is higher than the start, so you do more up than down! Stunning and definitely worth a visit though!
Wollaton Hall6 November 202110Blog post
Wyre Forest18 January 20201In Worcestershire. One of my favourite courses, despite the uphill finish! One-lap through some lovely Forestry Commission woodland.
York6 April 20191In York(!). Flat, two-lap course around the racecourse.
